those interested in purchasing Products on our website www.cssgamelab.com
(hereinafter referred to as “Buyers”)

Subject of contract and order

The subject of the contract is the purchase of online courses, training and learning materials and other products available on the website www.cssgamelab.com. On these pages, we provide all information regarding these courses and the order.

The buyer places an order for the selected courses by filling out the order form on the website www.cssgamelab.com/checkout . The buyer is obliged to check the correctness of the entered data and, if necessary, correct the data. The order is binding at the time of dispatch. The seller undertakes to make the ordered courses available to the buyer and the buyer undertakes to pay the purchase price.

The buyer can order several courses in one order, or can make several separate orders.

The buyer can also order other services, together or separately with one of the courses.

By sending the order, the buyer confirms that he has familiarized himself with these terms and conditions and agrees with them. These terms and conditions are an integral part of the purchase contract, which is created by filling out and sending the order.

The seller will send the buyer an order confirmation to the e-mail address specified in the order.

The seller will also send the buyer an e-mail containing the link where the buyer can access the course, their username and password to do so.

In case of any doubts or need for assistance, the buyer can contact the seller using the email address from which they received such information or at support@cssgamelab.com

The buyer acknowledges that all information in the online courses is only a recommendation or an expression of the seller’s opinion, and the seller bears no responsibility for any successes or failures of the buyer resulting from this information.

Course price and payment options

The website contains information about the courses including the content, length and price of each course. Course prices are listed including all related fees. The Seller is not a VAT payer.

The buyer can pay the price of the course in one of the following ways:

  • online using Stripe payment gateway (by card or instant bank transfer)
  • online using PayPal (using their PayPal account or card payment as a guest user)

Online payments are provided by Stripe and PayPal payment gateways.

The service provider, Stripe (“Stripe Payments Company Terms” or “SPC Terms”), is a U.S. state-licensed money transmitter and federally registered money services business. Stripe is regulated in Europe through its subsidiary Stripe Technology Europe, Limited (“STEL”). STEL is authorised as an electronic money institution, or “EMI,” by the Central Bank of Ireland (reference number: C187865) and has regulatory permissions to issue electronic money, execute payment transactions, issue payment instruments, and acquire payment transactions.

More information can be found on Stripe website: www.stripe.com

PayPal enables individuals and businesses to send and receive electronic money online. The Service is provided by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l.et Cie, S.C.A. (R.C.S. Luxembourg B 118 349) (“PayPal”) to registered users in the European Economic Area. PayPal is duly licensed in Luxembourg as a bank (or “credit institution” in legal terms). It is under the prudential supervision of the Luxembourg financial regulatory authority, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier or CSSF.

More information can be found on Stripe website: www.paypal.com

Credit card payment

The fastest way to pay online. In the interface of the payment gateway, the buyer enters the card number, validity date and CVC code – three numbers that the buyer finds in the signature strip on the back of the card. Everything is secured by the 3D Secure standard, so it will probably be necessary to enter a numerical code, which the buyer will receive via SMS from his bank or through a bank application.

Invoicing

After sending the order and completing the payment, the seller issues a receipt to the buyer. The receipt is considered paid when the amount is credited to the seller’s account.

The seller will send the receipt to the buyer electronically to the e-mail address that the buyer specified in the order on Checkout, and it is considered that the seller’s delivery obligation has been fulfilled.

Making the course available

After completing the payment, the buyer will be redirected back to the page on the www.cssgamelab.com website where they will gain instant access to the course. After a successful payment, the buyer will have a user account created automatically for them and they will be automatically logged in on the website. This is necessary in order to access the course.

After receiving the payment (crediting the amount to the seller’s account), the seller will also send the buyer an e-mail containing the link where the buyer can access the course and log in and their username and password to do so.

How to access the course after logging out or at any given time after a successful purchase

The buyer visits the page www.cssgamelab.com/my-account

They enter the username and password that were sent to their email address upon the successful purchase. If the buyer changed the password or requested the password reset, they should use this new password set by themselves.

The buyer will have access to the course for unlimited amount of time, they can take the course more than once. The number of repetitions is not limited.

The buyer is obliged to protect their access information to the purchased courses against misuse.

The buyer is entitled to use all course content, especially multimedia content (videos) exclusively for his study purposes and has no right to make it available to third parties in any way. If the buyer violates this, the seller is entitled to invalidate the buyer’s access information, without the right to a refund of the course price.

The buyer can purchase the courses as a gift. In such a case, they may provide the access information to a third party. In doing so, however, the buyer loses the right to use the access information himself, in order to maintain the rule that one access information is intended for just one person.

Liability for content

The buyer acknowledges that the content of the courses may not be available continuously, especially with regard to the necessary maintenance of the seller’s hardware and software equipment, or necessary maintenance of third-party hardware and software equipment.

Website and training content including multimedia content (videos) may be updated without prior notice.

The seller declares that the courses do not contain any defects. In the event that a defect appears, the buyer reports it to the seller at the e-mail address support@cssgamelab.com and the seller undertakes to remove the defect without unnecessary delay, but within 30 days at the latest. If the defect turns out to be irreparable, the buyer can demand a refund of a reasonable part of the price of the course in which the defect appeared.

Withdrawal from the contract

The buyer has right to withdraw from the contract within 7 days of the purchase of the product. In those cases, the buyer sends the request for withdrawal from the contract to the seller by e-mail support@cssgamelab.com, from the e-mail address specified in the order. The request must include the email address that was specified in the order and the date when the order was placed and paid. The request must be received no later than the 7th day following the day the buyer paid for the order. The seller will invalidate the buyer’s access information and return to the buyer the full amount paid by the buyer for the order, within 30 days upon receiving the request by email.

Other rights and obligations of the contracting parties

All the content of this website, especially the multimedia content of the courses (videos), is protected by copyright law (Act No. 121/2000 Coll.) in favor of the seller, and any dissemination without the prior written consent of the seller is strictly prohibited.

The seller accepts and handles complaints from buyers out of court at the e-mail address support@cssgamelab.com. The seller will send information about handling the complaint to the e-mail address of the buyer.

The seller is authorized to sell online courses based on a trade license. The trade inspection is carried out by the relevant trade office within its jurisdiction. Supervision over the area of personal data protection is carried out by the Office for Personal Data Protection. The Czech Trade Inspection, to a defined extent, supervises, among other things, compliance with Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on consumer protection, as amended.

Modification of this Agreement

We reserve the right to modify the terms of this Agreement at any time. After the modifications are posted on our website, your access and use of our Site will be considered your acceptance of those changes. The wording of the terms and conditions at the time of purchase is binding for the buyer.

Applicable laws and venue

This Agreement shall be subject to and interpreted under the laws of Czech Republic. Any claims arising out of, or in connection with, this Agreement shall be litigated only in the courts of the city of Prague, Czech Republic.

These conditions are valid from 1st of August 2024.

General Instructions

Step One: What I will be making

First click on the green ‘What I will be making’ button. This is how your end result should look like.

Step Two: What I need

Next, click on the ‘What I need’ button to get some basic parameters to use in the code. Such as the font family, colors, image URLs etc. These are just recommendations. Use your own judgement for the rest of the values, such as paddings, margins, spacing and size.

Step Three: Read the given HTML code

You don’t need to know how to write HTML for these exercises. However, you WILL need to take a look at the ‘HTML’ code in the exercise. You can switch from HTML to CSS tab in the Codepen screen. Then read the built HTML code for each exercise to understand the structure and find the classes that are defined for the elements that you will be editing. Use those predefined classes to style them in CSS.

Step Four: Click on the ‘CSS’ tab and start coding

Click on the ‘CSS’ tab in the Codepen screen and start typing your CSS code here, just below the ‘Write CSS code here’ comment. You can also delete this comment if you wish.

For example, if a ‘div’ has a class “text-content” in HTML, you can then style this class in CSS tab. Just don’t forget to add a dot before calling a class out (.text-content)

You should see a live preview of the CSS code that you are editing in the ‘Result’ tab to the right of the Codepen screen.

Step Five: Check the solution with the CSS code

If you are stuck, click on the ‘Show me the code’ button. This will reveal the code that you can also completely copy and paste in the CSS tab of the exercise to see the result.

Or you can just go back to the lessons and watch them again.

Have fun and feel free to reach out!
